C276 Introduction

Super alloys or high performance alloys are available in a variety of shapes and contain elements in different combinations to obtain a specific result. These alloys are of three types that include iron-based, cobalt-based and nickel-based alloys. The nickel-based and cobalt-based super alloys are available as cast or wrought based alloys according to composition and application.
Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. They can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability.

HASTELLOY(r) C276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy that resists the development of grain boundary precipitates that degrade corrosion resistance.

An Forged Socket weld elbow is installed between two lengths of pipe (or tubing) to permit a change of direction, typically a 90° or 45° angle The ends may be machined for butt welding, threaded (usually female), or socket. When the ends differ in size, it’s referred to as a reducing (or reducer) elbow.
A Forged 90º Socket weld elbow, also referred to as a “90 bend”, “90 ell” or “quarter bend”, attaches readily to plastic, copper, cast iron, steel, and lead, and is connected to rubber with stainless-steel clamps. Other available materials include silicone, rubber compounds, galvanized steel, and nylon. It’s primarily accustomed connect hoses to valves, water pumps and deck drains. A Forged 45º Socket weld elbow, additionally referred to as a “45 bend” or “45 ell”, is usually employed in water-supply facilities, food, chemical and electronic industrial pipeline networks, air-conditioning pipelines, agriculture and garden production, and solar-energy facility piping.

First, a polygonal ring shell with a polygonal cross-section or a polygonal fan-shaped shell with both ends closed is welded. After the interior is filled with pressure medium, internal pressure is applied. Under the action of internal pressure, the cross-section gradually changes from polygon to circle, and finally becomes a circular ring shell. According to needs, a circular ring shell can be cut into four 90 degree elbows or six 60 degree elbows or socket elbows of other specifications. This process is suitable for manufacturing socket elbows of any specification with a ratio of the elbow pitch diameter to the elbow inner diameter greater than 1.5. It is currently an ideal method for manufacturing socket elbows.
